A couple of days after my sister and I graduated, Grandma Sandy gave each of us this book along with a speech about how she’s so proud of us both. Oh, the Places You’ll Go. That sounds about right. Kathy moved to Philadelphia after finishing school while I’m continuing my education.
This might be a surprise to some but I’ve actually never read this book before. G. Sandy said this was her favorite Seuss book so I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy this book too since I  generally trust her recommendations, except for Eat, Pray, Love. I don’t plan on reading that book any time soon. Anyways, I still haven’t read this book yet but that’s because I’m choosing to read it before I head off to college so I’ll have something to look forward to.

All I wish is for a simple phone call

I wouldn’t even mind if it was just a quick “Hey, how’s it going?” Is that really too much to ask?

An old homework assignment I found while dumping shit out

Topic: Something about inner and outer beauty.

People are just really complex. While we say one thing, we really mean something else. Sure, we’ve all heard stories where the average-looking person succeeds in the end, but just look at all the billboards and front covers of magazines. Do you see any ugly people? I certainly don’t. We value beautiful people because we’re instinctively attracted to them. And with this attraction, well… many things can come from that. We have preferred actors and actresses, models, singers and even certain workers at Starbucks just because of how great they look. People will always be divided whether we like it or not. And in this case, people are categorized into being beautiful and being, well, not so beautiful. But not having any physical beauty doesn’t mean you’re not great. In fact, if you were placed in a novel, people would most likely prefer your character over the other because they realize that they’re not so different from you—it’s realistic. Inner beauty is awesome. You might not win the crown for prom king or queen but you would definitely have a chance of winning a writing or speech contest, which is even better because people will realize that you have an awesome personality and that you are talented!

Teacher underlined the you are talented part and put a smiley face next to it. Wait, why didn’t I just scan the stupid paper instead of typing this all out?

    Screw this about.me contest

I quit! I thought reminding (or more like annoying) friends to vote once a day was already more than enough but there’s no way in hell I’m going to win with other annoying assholes going to individual strangers and asking them to vote. So I quit. Placing at the 5% can mean a lot of things but that’s the best I will do. I’ll just find another way to get to New York which won’t require trying to gain as many popularity votes as possible. So *foifoi to this contest!

    Contemplation

I’m thinking about closing this Tumblr account. I mean, I’ve had this blog for the longest time ever and I’ve kept it active enough (I still do!) but I don’t feel like I’m as attached to it anymore. Maybe I could close this account right when I start school? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. Vacuous. There. Vacuous is how I shall end this post. Vacuous.

Just a quick update: I just had my (final) dinner with Vicki and my parents. Yet another friend who’s leaving me for college. Joy, joy, joy!
I’m having minor difficulties on trying to figure out what clothes I should pack for school. Heck, I didn’t even realize that my dorm had drawers so that’s a plus for my undies.
I need to finish playing FFX-2 but I can’t play for more than half an hour at a time or I’ll get a really bad headache and throw up like what I’ve been doing for the past two days. Yeah, I remembered why I don’t play RPG games. I get terrible motion sickness. But dammit, this game is really fun.
There’s also some girl on Dailybooth… “Andgelaa” and she’s starting to tick me off because this stupid bitch is always commenting on people’s pictures with something super negative. I don’t freaking care if you think hip trends are the end of the world or if you disliked this Final Fantasy game. Fuck off. And you look horrible in red lipstick, by the way. Anyways, I’m going to try to sort out my socks and crud.
Oye, today is my grandmother’s birthday. Okay, bye for now.

A while ago, my sister broke my parent’s tea kettle so I went to Little Tokyo today and bought them (and myself, of course) this super duper duper duper cute kitty tea set. For about $28, I got this tea kettle and five, yes FIVE, tea cups. How awesome is that? I love my life. Oh yeah, I also bought this cute owl handkerchief but it was fucking expensive so I need to use it all the time to make up for how much it costs.
